Finally! A Good Summer Thunderstorm!

I was awakened this morning by an awesome show of thunder and lightening that was reminiscent of the types of weekly storms I experienced when I grew up in Iowa. We also had a good storm last night right as the girls were going down to bed. Adam and I were each chilling out in the living room - him reading; me crocheting - just enjoying the show outside.

I just LOVE thunderstorms and since moving to Wisconsin over 15 years ago, I've been deeply disappointed in the thunderstorms here. The lake just seems to kill any power the storm seems to have.

I was a bit bummed that I didn't make it outside this morning for my run, but there was a bit too much lightening for that. There's always tonight or tomorrow.

Gretchen turns 4 today!!! Unbelieveable. She had a big weekend of birthday celebrations (see her present from Cousin Shannon on Saturday) so we are just going to do a low key night tonight.
